Last week we were commissioned to deliver, install and give training to use Boox 10.3” inch NotePro at UniKL Library– the Tunku Azizah Knowledge Centre.
As a generic Android ereader, Boox is a well-suited device for library reading, not only because it is an ereader, which doesn’t have glare on the screen, but also because one can install library apps such as Libby App, something that a kindle cannot do.
So the users at UniKL library doesn’t just get 1 million FREE Amazon Kindle Ebooks on Boox, via Kindle App, they also get all the ebook copies of the libraries via Libby App. Not only that, the book collections that you can access via Boox devices are virtually unlimited, because Boox devices allow for app installation, checkout a list of apps that we find useful here.
It’s a great way to access the information– you can not only just checkout the physical books from the libraries, you can also checkout a vastly bigger collection of ebooks on Boox devices.
Kudos to UniKL library for being the pioneer in adopting ebooks! We hope that more libraries will follow the suit.
